Bad Lawyer

Called the office for first appointment. Was told by secretary that ex would have to pay bills until divorce final. I later found that this was not true. Was told that the divorce would take 90 days. Took a year. Lawyer made all kind of promises before she was given money. She said she could get any ...info that I needed I did not have to do anything. Than after she was paid she wanted me to give her everything. If you don't have everything you need for your case forget it. Later found out that she had some of the info and just did not use it. Wrote out the decrees by finding cases like mine and changing names and addresses. Had to get her to change names and addresses that were in decrees that were not mine or ex's. She told me several times that she would get ex to turn over what was needed and never did. She had me go to court several times sitting there for nothing. At times I was never called up. Looked over me like I was not there more than once. Talked on my behalf without informing me that that was what she was going to do. Did not even call me up to the bench but was talking to ex and his lawyer changing paperwork. In the end seemed to talk more to my ex and his lawyer than to me. She knew ex had other assets and did not make him turn over the information. Had to wait months to get divorce being told that we were waiting on info that took along time to get because she did not send in correct info. Then when we did go back to court still could not get settlement because paperwork was not done properly. Had to wait a few more weeks. If I agreed with everything she was saying we went to court. If I did not agree with what she was doing court dates would be cancelled. If I complained I got ignored. It was like a waiting game. I could give in or keep waiting. Most of the time did not answer phone or return phone calls. Would be in the office with door locked.
