Paul Meyers is an Excellent Lawyer!!!

I'm from out of state and Paul Meyers helped me with some legal consulting while I was in Texas. I very much appreciated his vast knowledge and informativeness and his attention to detail. He is a fantastic lawyer who is very easy to speak to and communicate with. He went above and beyond he is the b...est lawyer I've ever worked with.

Kind, Understanding, and a pleasure to work with

I made an unfortunate mistake that I was convinced would impact my future forever. Paul was absolutely outstanding! Extremely communicative, talented, and kind - throughout the entire process I felt as if I was in good hands. As stressful as the event was, all of my questions were answered and I felt... as if Paul lifted a huge burden from my shoulders. I never once felt judged; rather I was always treated with the upmost respect and understanding. A year after my case, Paul has gone above and beyond with expunging my record and making sure I was taken care of. I would recommend him a million times and more - and as much as Paul is a talented professional and absolutely lovely individual, I hope I never need to utilize his services again! Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me; I am eternally grateful for you!

Great Honest Lawyer

Had a possession charge and called a couple of lawyers. Paul was the only one that took the time to really explain what was going on and what my options were. He worked hard for me and I really felt like he had my back the whole time. I've got my life back and working again thanks to Paul. I reco...mmend him to everyone and if I evr need a lawyer, Paul is the man!

Review of Mr. Meyers

I was appointed Mr. Meyers by the public defenders office. I was arrested and my bond was set at $10,000 to walk. I was charged with a class 4 felony. Mr. Meyers has issues with communication in the courtroom and when speaking to clients from what I experienced. Aspects of the case that I pointed out... to him that would have proved my innocence were ignored by Mr. Meyers. My experience with Mr. Meyers was negative mostly because he made decisions without consulting me, he did everything by agreement when I specifically asked him not to. His conduct in the court room was not satisfactory based on his motions and refusal to challenge decisions I asked him to such as reconsideration. His answer was telling me to do an appeal, which I intend to do. We had a bench trial, and the states main witness lacked credibility and I pointed out about 8 vary big contradictions that we could have used to point out my innocence but Mr. Meyers disregarded. By definition he was ineffective in and out of the court room. He apears to be always on the verge of an anxiety attack and seems really nervous in the court room. It was almost as if the Judge didn't take him serious and that Mr. Meyers was off base with most of his motions and actions in court. These are the reasons I cannot recommend Mr. Meyers, I wish I would have had a way to contact and pay for a lawyer, before this conviction I had a clean record and was never in trouble with the law. I feel that if I had any reasonable representation in the court room I would not be in this situation. Mr. Meyers did not give me a reasonable or rational defense. He also refused to get me transcripts or copys of any documents. He takes weeks to return phone calls, he always says he was on Vacation. I complained to his Manager multiple times but it was too late.

Dear Anonymous, I understand your frustration and share your disappointment in the Court's ruling on your case. Serious charges such as aggravated unlawful restraint are not to be taken lightly and I make every effort to be transparent in every step of the process. During my five year tenure as a public defender, I diligently fought for the rights of those who were unable to defend themselves. I took on hundreds of difficult cases and put my heart and soul into every one. Yours was no exception. To this day, I'm a tireless advocate for my clients and continue to fight for the best possible outcome in every situation. Every case is unique and the circumstances can vary greatly. Ultimately, the law and the court have the final say, regardless of how much we wish to change the facts or outcome in a particular case. I sincerely wish the best for you and your family.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
