I just recently finalized a divorce from an adversarial, abusive spouse. Ruth worked hard to make sure I was protected in every way, both financially and legally. Skip Lanz, who works under Ruth, represented my case. He was always available to take my phone calls or returned them in a timely manner. As the laws for Father's are limited, I was able to obtain more than my fair share because Skip wouldn't settle. Skip was realistic on what I could obtain and not ...setting high hopes. If you are struggling to decide on whether or not you should hire representation, here is my analogy. If you are having issues with your car, are you going to fix it yourself, or are you going to hire a mechanic to fix it? If you know how to fix the problem, you don't need a mechanic. However, if you don't know how to fix the problem, you would hire a mechanic to fix it. If you know the law, then you don't need an attorney. But if you don't know all the laws, then I would highly recommend you hire an attorney. (Note: just because you have had friends/family go through a divorce, doesn't mean they know all the laws. Every single case is different). You can't go wrong with Ruth's firm.

I can not recommend Ruth Vernier and her legal team highly enough! I am officially divorced as of today. Ruth and her team did a great job representing me. I am a single father whose children live with their mother and a string of "uncles". My oldest daughter turned 12 and my other daughter was 7 and both asked to live with me. I went to several lawyers until I found Vernier and Associates and immediate...ly hired her and the team. The battle went on for 4 1/2 yrs. Ruth proved that I am a good father and that I provide for my kids. The court system did not care and the Judge decided to leave the kids where they were. I learned that if both parents are good the court system does not care about your kids and what they want. Ruth did a great job and kept the judge from taking all my assets. The original possession order stands with only a small change in child support. (sixty days later and my ex is getting her second divorce after me, making her total of 5 divorces).
