Absolutely brilliant!

I was put in contact with James from a mutual party and it was the best decision I ever made. He was extremely friendly and personable when discussing my issue and was very prompt with emails back and forth. He worked very hard on my case and the result was definitely what I hoped for. I would 110% r...ecommend James in the future.

I think he is a miracle worker

Mr. Stillwell is very professional, thorough, and compassionate person. He made legalese easier for us to understand and was willing to go the extra mile to investigate all possibilities. In addition, his advice proved to be invaluable and something we were not hearing from other people. As far as I ...am concerned, it is worth the long drive to hire Mr. Stillwell. Yes, we have a plethora of attorneys from which to choose in our town, but none are as compassionate about his work or as empathetic as he is. His dedication to our family speeded up a process that can sometimes take up to a year to a waiting time of a couple of months. He is honest (many people do not trust lawyers), professional, and has great insight into how the system works and was able to explain it in terms we understand. I would hire him in a heart beat if I ever need an attorney for anything else. I only wish I could have given him 10 stars instead of 5.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
