James advises and counsels clients with respect to all aspects ofcommercial real estate transactions from finance and acquisition todevelopment, leasing (ground, office and retail) and dispositionincluding foreclosure. In addition, James represents both creditors anddebtors in interim, permanent and construction financing secured byreal estate; commercial loans secured by accounts receivable,equipment, inventory, planes, vessels and other personal property; debtrestructuring, workouts and problem loans as well as multiple lendersyndications, participations, letters of credit and asset based lendingtransactions. Recent transactions include:

• Developmentof a 734 acre master planned community in western Fort Worth,Texas with 2,000 single-family detached residential units and 30 acresof commercial/retail space.
• Development of a 320 acremaster planned lakefront community with 889 single-family residentialunits, eight acres of town homes, 15 acres of commercial/retail space,6,000 feet of waterfront, a winding canal, trail system, club housewith resort style pool and residential marina.
• Developmentof 315 acres on Lake Travis in the city of Lago Vista, Texas, alakefront community with 120 acres of open space, 2,850 feet of LakeTravis frontage, three miles of trails, waterfall features, club houseand resort style pool, residential marina, boat launch and expansiveviews.
• Development of a 342 acre master planned communityin Leander, Texas with hill country views and a club house, pool, trailsystem and elementary school. Some 260 acres are designed forsingle-family detached homes and the remaining 82 acres are formixed-use development.
• Development of a 306 acrecommunity in three phases, three miles west of The Woodlands, Texas ina heavily wooded area undergoing rapid development.

Priorto joining the firm, James worked for seven years as a commerciallender for a large financial institution in addition to practicing lawat the Houston, Texas branch of a large firm.
