I hope 4000 words will be enough. I need a lot of good words to describe Deonee.
My son is in the middle of an ugly custody battle for his 2 year old son. It’s been tough, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and especially financially. The woman he picked to go through life with him turn...s out to be a deceitful one and the betrayal hit him hard. Besides her taking everything that wasn’t nailed down he found out she did not put him on the child’s birth certificate and he has no legal rights to the boy. We sought a lawyer’s help. Unfortunately, the lawyer we chose was not Deonee. We were told it would be $10,000 and 60 days to get him on the birth certificate. Since all his money is gone with her I agreed to pay the $10,000 for him.
We are now at $40,000 plus and 180 days with no results. When our lawyer did not show up for court we started looking for another. I was given Deonee’s name by a friend. I called her office and was told she could not come to the phone at this time. I gave my name and number for a call back and told the receptionist a little about our plight. After hearing my story the woman on the other end of the line said “hold on, Deonee, loves helping people let me tell her you are on the phone.” At the time I had no idea how true the phrase “she loves helping people” really was. Trust me it is true, very true.
She was on the phone within 5 minutes. We talked for an hour. She was amazing, I never felt hurried or pressured. I felt like I mattered. She spoke to me with calm and empathy. She spoke with compassion for what I was going through. She was honest, forthright and sincere. I thought to myself she is great, she is the one we need to help us. But I was wrong it was not as good as it gets, it was better. I cried several times during our conversation that’s how emotionally drained I was with this horrible situation. Since I am not a crier I think my tears also show the type of person she is and how kindly she treated me throughout the whole hour. She never asked for payment. When our call was winding down I offered to pay her the hourly rate of $400. She declined. She actually declined! At one time I asked myself “is she really a lawyer? Because no lawyer I know or ever heard of would ever turn down money?” I ended up paying the hour’s rate but it took some convincing on my part. I didn’t have the money to pay her right away. As a retired school teacher there is not a whole lot of money coming into my bank account on a monthly basis. My husband of 46 years and I live simply on social security and teacher retirement. The law suit has drained our retirement and we are no closer to the end of this battle then we were 6 months ago. The future looks bleak for my grandson.
I remembered several years ago my mother-in-law, who passed in 2022, gave my husband two gold coins for his birthday. I asked him if I could use those for our son and grandson. Of course he said “yes” and I sold the gold to pay Deonee. I sent her the money thanking her for all the great information. I thanked her for her tenderheartedness, her warmth and understanding. She was so incredibly kind. I apologized for the wait and explained why it took me a few extra days to pay her since I had to first sell the gold.
SHE SENT MY MONEY BACK TO ME!
If that is not a lawyer who sees a person and not just dollars signs then I don’t know what is. I know very few people that would give money back and I know of ZERO lawyers that would do that.
I believe in her and I know you will too if you decide to hire her. You will never regret getting this incredible woman on your side.
Simply put “she likes helping people”. It just doesn’t get any better than that during a time of high stress and worry.
Deonee is the person you need.
