She attended the University of Illinois, before transferring to and graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in Political Science from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 2002. Following undergrad, Davina attended and graduated from Harvard Law School in 2005. She was licensed in Minnesota in 2005 and Texas in 2010.
While a student at Harvard Law School, Davina was a member of the Prison Legal Assistance Project where she represented indigent prisoners in disciplinary ticket hearings. She also participated in the Trial Advocacy Project under the tutelage of the late Professor Charles Ogletree. As a participant, she represented indigent clients in the Boston area in criminal matters.
Following law school, Davina spent some time doing corporate law with the firms of Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis and Jones Day in Houston. Most recently, she worked with Neighborhood Defender Service, a nonprofit organization, defending indigent clients .
Davina has chosen to go solo in an effort to assist as many people as possible in the way that she sees fit. She has successfully tried a child custody case before a jury in Harris County where a father received Sole Managing Conservatorship of two preschool aged children after a daunting two year battle. Unlike some other attorneys, Davina will not just roll over and push you into a plea that you do not want. She will fight for you.
