Her representation was so passive and consistently advantageous to the opposing party that, from my perspective, it felt as though she was working for the other side. My case accumulated substantial evidence including drug testing, child safety, law enforcement involvement and supervised visitation. ...I was not communicated with prior to an OAG hearing in which she'd made a statement resulting in my case getting dismissed. I was billed for subsequent filings including a motion to reinstate which lacked supporting documentation and evidence. Child safety was finally added to response to opposing counsel's motion to abate and appeared as an after thought. I was not provided a draft copy prior to these being submitted. I was not even aware of opposing counsel's motion for abatement and Melissa's response until much later. Her complacent attitude and failure to communicate any strategy led to procedural errors placing my toddler at risk in the future.
