James Joshua Collum

Success stems from hard work, sacrifice, and an indomitable spirit. It is not given freely and it does not occur randomly. It is earned. I come from a long line of working class people and this was a familiar lesson - a lesson I took to heart. 

A native of Greenville, Mississippi, I graduated with high honors from the University of Mississippi. I earned my Juris Doctorate with honors, also from Ole Miss, where I was a member of the Moot Court Board and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Fraternity. After earning my law degree, I went on to the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where I obtained a Master of Laws, a step very few attorneys in this country take.

I have experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in numerous industries. Prior to joining the Pinkerton Law Firm, PLLC, I worked at another prominent south Texas firm, where I worked to secure substantial verdicts and settlements for clients injured in auto, trucking, workplace, and premises liability accidents. Licensed to practice law in Texas, Mississippi, and Tennessee, I have represented clients in commercial litigation in state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

The key to success is persistence and, as such, I approach each case with unrelenting tenacity. Combining unflinching advocacy with compassion and understanding for those who have been harmed, I am firmly dedicated to fighting for the rights of my clients.
