Contacted this attorney because I thought he was close. However, I wasn't aware that he gave discounts off services to write a good review for him. In actuality, you live and you learn. He is a fast talker. I paid for, supposedly, an hour conversation at the cost of $200, over his online payment syst...em. Then met in a restaurant parking lot and paid $500 to write a letter, which he said was normally $550, but, this was also discount. His fee is normally more. We communicated via email. After saying he mailed the letter giving the company 60 days to respond, he dropped the ball, and said he decided that this wasn't the type case he wanted to pursue. He was making this decision before, during , and after he accepted my money. Since that time, during a correspondence email. He stated he'd contact me if he received any information from the company on settling the case. Since I had not been contacted by the attorney a while after he stated this, I emailed him to touch base about the case, on whether an offer had been made. He never responded to my email to this date. Now it's time to file a written complaint with the State Bar in Austin, Tx., to inform them that I think this attorney may have settled the case, or, in negotiations without informing or contacting me. Prior to this, he also stated that if the company decides to go to court, that he will not proceed, because, once again, he decided that this is not the kind of case he wants to pursue. In the meantime, I'm out of $700, don't know what's going on with the case, and additionally, the attorney could have settled and taken the funds. I think he also might only give the address of 4101 Greenbriar, but, might not actually occupy a physical suite there, because he doesn't list a suite number. I have this warning for everyone; beware of the so-called smart, fast talking up and coming shitzter lawyers who are willing to risk their careers to take advantage of individuals because they think some of us can be out-smarted because they're the only intelligent ones. Some attorneys can't think straight when they've received a large sum of funds in settlement for a client's case. Also, please pick a well-known very well-seasoned attorney if he will accept the case, and ask friends or relatives if they've ever used a attorney, if so, was it for the same type of case. If they have had the same, then ask whether they reccomend the attorney. It a very good start, before you randomly select one online.
