I had a fantastic, very helpful & informative chat with atty Patricia Davis. I've been a landlord for 15 years but have only been to county court a few times. I have been extremely busy for the past few weeks & put off trying to find an attorney to help. My legal provider recommended Ms Davis. I call...ed her 3 days before more court date because I was quickly running out of options. She literally got back to me within an hour or so. I briefly explained the situation to her, let her know that I won in JP court for possession and got a $20K judgment against my tenant. She told me that she wouldn't be able to represent me, so I thought it was going to be a quick chat. Well, she spent 20 mins on the phone with me giving a lot of great advice, one tip was that I can ask for what my tenant really owes me, more than the $20K; and she advised me when I should ask for it. I felt she was sincerely trying to help me and wasn't rushing me off the phone. Thank God for her! I can handle it from here.
