THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

I had consulted three other attorneys before I came across Mr. York. As a physician I had been advised by other physicians to choose an attorney carefully. I had consulted with other attorneys (all were extremely sought after with great recommendations/ ratings and extremely expensive). Two of t...hese attorneys told me in initial consultation that they are friends with the judge ( translates to me I want your business and I am not ethical) and others bad mouthed other attorneys (unprofessional). All the other attorneys gave me different advice based on their skill set- some advised me to settle, others advised to go to trial. So if your goal pertaining to what you desire as an end result for your case- the margin of the success of your case will vary depending on the skill set of the attorney you hire. An attorney who is not good at trial (difficult skill set) will ask you to settle at mediation. I came across Mr. York’s profile on line and liked the fact that he was a former police officer. Mr. York was a professional, his wife was a presiding judge and he never mentioned anything personal but truly relied on his skill sets and was honest. I believe what sets him apart from other attorneys is his ability to be a gifted trial lawyer. I think this is an extremely difficult skill set to attain and either you have it or you don’t. I don’t think any amount of schooling can teach you to be so quick on your feet in rebuttal and apply the law at your fingertips. I read some of the other reviews and he has been called an angel, a shark but I truly believe what makes him the best and sets him apart from every other attorney is his ability/gift to be a flawless trial lawyer and get you to the closest margin of your end goal. I don’t think there can be many other attorneys who can challenge his gift.

The Best.

I am a father and an attorney. I knew very well that the public perception is that it can be difficult for a father to win custody, so I turned to Mr. Doug York to help me protect my children. Hiring Mr. York to represent me was the best decision I made. Mr. York tirelessly advocated for my children...'s best interest. He is a consummate professional and is the finest attorney in court I have ever seen. I definitely would not want to be on the other side of Mr. York, either as a party or an attorney. Mr. York always took the time to answer my questions. He never sugar-coated things. He gave me his honest professional opinion and his best advice. Mr. York is an excellent trial attorney so when my trial began, I knew I was in good hands. He knew my case inside and out. He was just right in his approach and demeanor in presenting my children's story to the jury over the course of several weeks. He is a fighter. The results speak for themselves, a unanimous verdict. When people ask me about my win, I tell them my children and their futures won. Thank you Mr. York.

WOW!

I concluded my divorce with the help of Mr. York and I have to say a huge thank you! Although there were "up's" and "down's" throughout the process he kept me on track, even when I was thinking the whole process was too difficult and was about to throw in the towel. Thankfully I was guided through... the whole process and looking back I was SO glad I hired him instead of another choice I reviewed. First the good: Massively aggressive! (I would NOT want to be on the other side of him!). I felt protected throughout and he seemed to take my case as if it were his own. There were times when I felt like a child hiding behind their father standing up to a wrong. His office is both professional and has a good sense of humor which makes a good mix. I felt at home. (In fact, his exact words were "this is your home during your divorce so get comfortable"). They kept me informed, I never had to worry about a return email, text or phone call. I felt like a load of bricks were off my shoulders. Now the "not so good.": If you're expecting a cheap out, you'll be highly disappointed. He is expensive but well worth it. I hired a lesser attorney and switched to Mr. York mid-way through. I wish I had started with him because even though he's more expensive than most, I probably would have saved in the end by not having Mr. York clean up the mess created by my first lawyer. He is also brutally honest, which is what I needed. He will definitely tell you the "weak" and "strong" points even when you don't want to hear that you will not get 100% of everything and thus leaving my soon to be "ex" in the street homeless without a dime. (...I can dream). In short, a HUGE thank you and would absolutely recommend him to anyone that has a complex divorce.

Douglas York is a great attorney.

Douglas has been appointed by the Judge to represent my kids twice. He has done an outstanding job of doing so while keeping his legal fees within reason. He meet with each of my children individually and acted in their best interest without revealing what had been discussed with each child. He alway...s conducted himself in a professional manner and adhered to the highest level of integrity and ethics. My only regret is that now I can't hire him to represent me.
