Chelsea Nicole Gillespie

I hired Ms. Gillespie in April 2025 to represent my 88 year old mother in an injury/ medical malpractice case where the offending agency admitted fault and took responsibility for her injuries. I was initially impressed with Ms. Gillespie as she came to interview my mother at the assisted living faci...lity in which she is still residing due to her injuries. She comforted my mother and promised her that she was in good hands, which we both believed. After two weeks, I asked Ms. Gillespie if there was an update, or if I could provide any additional information. My inquiry was quickly dismissed as she was "preparing for trial" on another case. Three weeks later, I again requested an update and Ms. Gillespie advised that she was no longer with the firm through which I hired her, and as a result, could no longer discuss the case with me! Ms. Gillespie's sudden and unannounced abandonment of my 88 year old mother's case is an insult to the Texas Bar and the Texas Lawyer's Oath. Not to mention that my mother remains deeply troubled by this betrayal. As a first-year practicing lawyer, she is off to a very poor start.
