Leticia Elena Trevino

A Houston native, Leticia has been a licensed practicing attorney in Harris and surrounding counties since November 2013. She is passionate about her clients and works hard to achieve the best possible out come. She has handled hundreds of cases in family, immigration and criminal defense. Leticia knew early on that she wanted to be an attorney in order to assist individuals navigating the complex and confusing legal system. She received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from St. Edward's University in Austin, TX and then went on to earn a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University-San Marcos. 

Leticia was accepted to Texas Tech University-School of Law in 2009 and began to thrive in the demanding environment that a legal education requires. In her second year she interned for a local criminal defense attorney and in her third year she was accepted into the Criminal Defense Clinic. The Criminal Defense Clinic provides a community service by representing defendants in criminal cases who would otherwise be unable to afford their own legal representation. Cases involve misdemeanors, felonies, and juvenile offenses in Lubbock County and the surrounding metropolitan area. A maximum of eight students are selected for this clinic. While in the clinic, Leticia handled 23 cases and was awarded for her hard work. 

Annually, the Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyers Association recognizes the outstanding law student participating in the Texas Tech University School of Law criminal law clinical program. The award is presented by LCDLA in the name of Clifford W. Brown, long-time Lubbock Lawyer.

In May 2012, LCDLA in conjunction with the Texas Tech University School of Law awarded Leticia Trevino with the Clifford Brown Award. The award recognizes excellence as a student attorney in the Texas Tech Criminal Defense Clinic.
