Erika Tenisha O'Neal

A native Houstonian, Erika T. O’Neal holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. She went on to graduate with two advanced degrees before attending law school, a M.L.A. in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas, and her M.Ed. from Houston Christian University with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.

Erika completed her law degree at the prestigious Thurgood Marshall School of Law and is currently an Associate Attorney at The Gonzalez Law Group, PLLC practicing Business – Civil Litigation and Sports & Entertainment. Erika served as a teacher in some of the largest school districts in the Houston area; she is also an AmeriCorps and CLEO Alum. As a first-generation college graduate and attorney, she credits her faith and daughters Erin and Grace to be her guiding light and motivation. Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5 and some of her favorite activities are reading, community service and spending time with her family.
