M. Edward Burdzinski

   Growing up in the Detroit area the youngest of four children, Ed learned from his parents and siblings the love of God, the value of hard work, and the importance of personal integrity.  After graduating from Michigan State University in 1980 with a degree in accounting, and inspired by stories of his grandparents immigrating from Poland, Ed sought to make his mark by “immigrating” to Texas.

  Ever ready to take on new challenges, Ed attended the University of Houston Law Center while working full-time in public accounting, and for a brief period, with a software company.  Upon earning his law degree in 1988, Ed adopted his middle name professionally - in honor of his now-departed father, Edward S. Burdzinski - in thanksgiving for all the encouragement, sacrifice, and good example the senior Burdzinski bestowed on his admiring son.  Ed has been practicing law ever since.

  Ed’s legal career spans more than 25 years of trusted, practical service to businesses and individuals, including over 12 years as General Counsel of a community bank.  His unique combination of experience in public accounting, as in-house counsel, and in private practice, provides his clients with sound, common sense legal services that considers the tax aspects of a situation while being ever-mindful of the bottom line.  He is licensed to practice law only in Texas and is not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

  Ed and his wife reside in Houston with their three young children, a dog, and a gerbil.  When he isn’t working or sleeping, Ed enjoys volunteering at his church and other organizations, romantic date nights with his wife, grilling for Sunday dinner, and spending time together as a family.
