I was born and raised in the Houston area, and left to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. After graduating with a degree in Political Science, I returned to Houston to attend law school at South Texas College of Law.
During law school, I held an internship with the Harris County Public Defender's Office, and found that my heart and passion lay in defending people and their freedom. Just after becoming licensed as an attorney, I started my own law practice focusing on criminal defense.
Shortly thereafter, I was one of ten young attorneys selected by the Harris County Public Defender's Office to participate in the Future Appointed Counsel Training Program, a pilot program designed to train young defense attorneys. Through that program I was afforded the opportunity to train with Gideon's Promise and their faculty consisting of some of the best public defenders and defense attorneys from across the nation.

Honest Review!
What can I say about Mr. Wade Smith? What couldn't I say about him?! He honestly helped me get back on the path I needed to be on. At the time of my case in 2017, I had already paid for TWO lawyers and couldn't afford another so he was appointed to me. I can say that he was better than both of my ot...

Wade Smith is the only defense attorney I would recommend.
I knew about Wade because he was a friend of mines attorney and I was shocked at how good he was and when I needed an attorney I called Wade right away. Wade has been my attorney for a couple different cases now and he is the only one I would ever use. With all of the cases when he represented me he ...

Montgomery County DWI # 2
I hired Wade to defend me for DWI second in Montgomery County in 2017. from the start Wade was professional, knowledgeable, and entergetic about my case. Wade Smith
Wade Smith was extremely professional and had a strategy to cover my case from all angles. I was extremely pleased with the attention he gave to my case. It was a dismissed case and a weight lifted. Thank you Wade for all your help, legal counsel and keeping me updated every step of the way. I was ve...
"I endorse this lawyer. Wade is an excellent and creative criminal defense lawyer. He's excellent in trial and not afraid to aggressively hold prosecutors accountable and to defend his clients and their rights. I have personally co-counseled with him in numerous cases, and I'm honored to be his partner and to practice law with such an excellent attorney who truly cares about his clients."
"Wade Smith is all a client would ever want in counsel and operates in court with ease and sophistication on complex issues. Wade’s creativity in developing strategy to replace old understanding of the law with new on contemporary issues is seen in nearly every case he handles. He can turn a venue challenge into a constitutionality fight over forum shopping. He can explain the nuances of service of documents over notice of their mere existence impacting due process. He will impeach bad police officers with their disciplinary records no matter how many roadblocks the State throws at him. If the trial judge does rules against him, Wade will explain it in a 50-page brief. Any judge in any proceeding Wade is counsel for can be sure to have his impressions of substantive and procedural due process challenged. His unique talent and youthful energy create an ease in presentation someone his age usually does not possess."
"Wade is a warrior, he will not relent. If you need a guy that gets in there to lift every stone and view every angle, he is your man. I endorse this lawyer."
"Wade is meticulous and caring. He works very hard on his cases, for his clients, and ensures that he gets the best possible outcome for them."
"Wade will look at every angle of your case and thoroughly analyze every rule involved. He'll do this while still taking more than adequate time to holistically, and proactively investigate you case. I endorse him fully."
"Wade is an excellent attorney and a great person overall. I consulted with Wade on a DWI matter and he took the time to go over some key aspects of the case that even I hadn't considered. Wade is a great advocate who cares about his clients' rights. I recommend Wade Smith."
