Catherine Loving

Catherine Loving brings nearly two decades of legal experience and a practical understanding of the decisions businesses face every day. At Loving Law Firm, PLLC, she draws on her background as a general counsel, business adviser, and trial attorney to help clients navigate legal challenges with clarity and confidence.

Before establishing her firm, Catherine served as General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Compliance Officer for Merichem Company. As a member of its executive leadership team, she worked closely with company leaders and the board of directors on matters ranging from commercial contracts and employment issues to corporate governance, compliance, and business transactions. Her experience working inside a business gives her valuable perspective on how legal decisions affect people, operations, and long-term goals.

Catherine’s career also includes in-house roles at Tesco Corporation and Parker Wellbore, along with private practice experience handling litigation in state and federal courts. She has guided employers through sensitive workplace matters, negotiated a wide range of business agreements, supported acquisitions and asset sales, and served as lead counsel in a jury trial.

Catherine’s approach centers on making complex legal issues easier to understand and helping clients find practical paths forward. She earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor’s degree in history. She was admitted to the Texas bar in 2006.
