After leaving the committee, Will received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Texas Tech University School of Law, and was a published writer and distinguished advocate within the law school, receiving honors for a top article in the Estate Planning and Community Property law journal as well as the J. Hadley Edgar Distinguished Trial Advocate.
