Tracy Lynne Sterling

Tracy L. Sterling is the founder of The Sterling Law Firm, where she serves as the firm’s lead litigation counsel.

Ms. Sterling is a native of Houston, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies/American Jurisprudence in just three years from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2001. She then attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she earned her law degree in 2004.

While in law school, Ms. Sterling participated in the college’s international programs, studying Comparative Trial Systems, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Negotiation Skills, and Freedom of the Press at the University of Malta in Valletta, Malta. Ms. Sterling also volunteered at the college as a mentor to younger law students and worked as a law clerk at Burrow & Parrott L.L.P. under Alice Oliver-Parrott, Former Chief Justice of the 1st Court of Appeals.

Prior to forming The Sterling Law Firm, Ms. Sterling worked as an associate for a plaintiff’s firm practicing personal injury, business and commercial litigation. She later worked as a contract attorney for two of the nation’s largest law firms as well as one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies.

In her spare time, Ms. Sterling enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling and attending sporting events. Her primary practice areas are criminal defense, family law, business law, personal injury, and wills/probate.

Ms. Sterling was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2005. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association. Ms. Sterling is also a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas, an honorary society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas.
