The co-parent failed to provide a timely response and March 2016 we won the judgement by default. Immediately, My ex secured counsel and filed a motion claiming he was not properly served. Despite all of the legal responses from her colleagues who assumed a new trial was inevitable; Catherine stayed the course and prepared an iron clad defense. On April 13, 2016 the judge denied the respondent a new trial. I walked out of the 312th Family court room elated and validated because my counsel never stop believing in my plight to one day again receive permanent reunification with my now 7 year old daughter.
