Adam P. Criaco

Attorney was assigned to our case as Associate Counsel by Jim Adler and Assoc. Beyond intake paperwork and a an email requesting information plus a receipt confirming I provided said information, this attorney's office did not attempt to contact myself or the other claimant on the case. By his ow...n admission, he "sat on the case" because he, or his subordinates, failed to perform due diligence or communicate within their own office. When challenged with this information, Craico elected to dismiss us as "not having a case." This statement has been challenged as inaccurate by our newly retained attorney. I would wholly endorse previous claims of arrogance, belligerence, and general disregard for the client. This attorney demonstrated a blatant lack of interpersonal communication skills in addition to an ignorance regarding the state of the case, accusing us of refusing contact when the fault lay within his own office. His, and his office's negligence has put us dangerously close to the statute of limitations for filing a suit. It is fortunate for both parties that I called to seek updates before this time had fully elapsed.

Been meaning to do this review for a while now. He's arrogant and do not care about you are how you're feeling. He talks to you in a way that makes you feel like you're the gum on the bottom of his shoes. Very hot tempered and rude. Does not know you from one client to the next. Maybe he needs Xanax ...or something b/c he is always on 100 with the way he speaks. I have never dealt with a person where I had to com out of character to get him to respect me. You may have to fire him if you have serious injuries and get "The Hammer" getting another attorney was prob the best thing I've ever done.

I was injured in a fall at Woodlands Mall due to renovations but an absence of barricades. My fall caused a shoulder injury that required corrective surgery. Despite the severity of the injury, I was given the run around by the mall, the construction company and subcontractors, as each blamed each ...other. The first lawyer I hired told me that a lawsuit had to be filed and he recommended me to Mr. Criaco. Mr. Criaco explained to me why the companies were giving me the run around and how it is a tactic to delay. I did not like what I was hearing. Mr. Criaco warned me not to blame the messenger, as he explained to me that we will always tell me the truth about my claim whether it is good or bad. I took a deep breath, trusted him and shortly after he filed suit all the companies got together to resolve my claim. Companies and their insurance pay claims when they are afraid of the lawyer that you hire. I now see why they were afraid of Mr. Criaco, as he really does take cases to trial. Nothing happens overnight. We must understand that when we have cases it usually takes months if not years to handle. Proper reports from the proper resources, other than yourself have to be obtained. You have to have patience!!! I was so mad at Mr. Criaco myself for not giving me day by day repo...rts(unrealistic on my part), but I am glad I backed off and did not take any of this personally , or listening to other people who didn't know any better. When we got to that settlement table this man was as gentle as a lamb with me,respected me and showed tender sympathy for me and as I watched and listened to him expertly state my position in the case against the opposing side, I saw it all pay off.
