Ive read some of these comments and am surprised...I had an accident in an apartment where I resided.Mr schmerin moved fairly quickly with my case.I received compensation within a few months..I didn't harass him .I understood theae cases take time .therapy must be completed and insurance companies mo...ve slow but to my surprise I received my money in less than 6 months..I told him I needed help while waiting and he got referred me to an lender who gave me 1000 against my case just so my kids and I could make it. I give him my recommendations.

My husband was in an accident in January - Hired Schmerin and still no results. No voluntary calls, no call backs, 'never in the office' , always have to leave a message. No communication whatsoever. He has not even told us what he has provided to the insurance as a settlement. No one seems to kn...ow anything. If I could do it all over again, I would have read the reviews before I accepted the referral... I have no clue if I will even get a settlement at this point, and if I do, who's to say he wont take 90%??? Should have done my research!!

Within 6 months, this attorney could not settle my simple auto accident. They do not keep you informed so I had to make a trip to the office for the 1st time and was finally told what 1 item they needed. I gave them that item and after 2 months the case still was open. I decided to call to get a sta...tus and Mr. Schmerin got on the phone and the firs thing he did was shout at me and said "THIS BETTER BE IMPORTANT". At that point I told him I was coming to get a letter of release and a copy of my file. he said "GOOD" and hung up in my face. When I got to his office I told the receptionist who I was and wanted a copy of my file and letter of release. She said "one moment and have a seat". As I was sitting in the lobby texting on my cell phone with my head down, Mr Schmerin walked up to me and shook a folder in my face and said loudly "DO YOU SEE ALL THIS WORK I DID". I just looked up and told him I just wanted a release. He proceeded to shout at me and told me to GET OUT OF HIS OFFICE then told the receptionist to call the police on me. I was stunned. He opened the door and kicked me out and told me to come back in 3 days to get a release because the world did not revolve around me and that he do NOT jump when his clients call! WOW!! I went outside and waited for the police. They came and I told them what was going on so they went in and spoke with Mr. Schmerin then came back out shaking their heads saying Mr Schmerin told them that he was scared of me because I popped up at the office adn was causing distraction even though I didn't get to say 8 words to the attorney. I just wanted a release. Well the police told me that he was just mad because he was losing a case and also my sister has 2 cases with him and I told her what happened and she took her cases from him as well. I got a new attorney the same day and they adivsed me to file a grievance and they will handle him for me. Attorney Schmerin also have other cases against him from other clients.
