After leaving the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Godha founded his own criminal defense practice, where he represented hundreds of clients facing a wide range of misdemeanor and felony charges, including DWI offenses, drug crimes, theft offenses, assault allegations, weapons charges, probation violations, and other serious criminal matters. He later joined a public defender's office, representing individuals charged with criminal offenses in Texas border counties as part of Operation Lone Star, a large-scale criminal justice initiative that generated thousands of criminal prosecutions.
