Michael David Ellis

Michael Ellis’s practice focuses primarily in the areas of intellectual property litigation and commercial litigation. Michael is a graduate of the Baylor University School of Law, where he served as Managing Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review. He is a licensed patent attorney and earned his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. Michael has interned for the Honorable Walter S. Smith, United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and the Honorable Steven Kirkland of the 215th Civil District Court in Houston, and has clerked for Gray Reed.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Michael spent five years with a medical device company based in Houston. There, he provided technical sales and support to customers, assisted with the development of new products, and trained the company’s worldwide distributor network. This experience provides Michael with valuable knowledge of the medical-device and pharmaceutical industries.  

Michael is licensed to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
