Leslie Kay Hillendahl

Since 2007, I have been an attorney with Zimmerman, Axelrad, Meyer, Stern & Wise, P.C. My practice is focused on commercial litigation in a broad array of areas, including business disputes, personal injury matters, products liability, misappropriation of proprietary and confidential information, theft and misappropriation of trade secrets, partnership disputes, unfair business practices, franchise litigation and fiduciary duty. My experience extends to all phases of litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. I have also successfully argued to the First Court of Appeals in Texas. I represent clients with creativity and a strong capacity for problem-solving; my strengths include learning about my clients and their goals, interacting with clients, and helping clients strategize in order to achieve their objectives.

Following my graduation from Texas A&M University with my Master of Science degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation, I was a tax consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers where my clients included Fortune 500 companies. During law school, I clerked at the Harris County Attorney's office and was a law clerk to the Honorable Sam Nuchia, First Court of Appeals of Texas. I also competed on the South Texas College of Law Moot Court Team receiving the Best Brief Award and was a finalist in the Leroy Jeffers Memorial Moot Court Competition.

In my spare time, I sit on the board of directors of a local all breed, no kill, not for profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization called Scout's Honor Rescue, Inc. (). Scout's Honor Rescue, Inc. exists to rescue, rehabilitate and place homeless dogs and cats and educate the public. I have been instrumental in saving the lives of hundreds of dogs and cats in need and am very passionate about animal welfare.

I also serve as Vice-President for Timbergrove Manor Civic Club.
