OUTCOME: Not Guilty After Trial by Jury
False allegations of Deadly Conduct made by disturbed ex-girlfriend. Lots of in vestigation led to Not Guilty Verdict.
OUTCOME: Not Guilty After Trial by Jury
Sexual Assault of Child. Case of false allegations made by four women. All delayed outcry. Suspected official tampering. Not guilty on allegations made by two complainants, other cases dismissed.
OUTCOME: Not Guilty on two counts of indecency with a child
8 year delayed outcry. Two counts of indecency with a child. The prosecutor wrote the book on prosecuting these cases and did everything she could (to the point of being unethical at times) and the j ... ury still found Defendant not guilty. This was the 2nd of 4 CWs against this client.
OUTCOME: Felony Theft; No Billed by Grand Jury
Johnny was charged with theft by a former employer. After and extensive investigation, we were able to show the DA that Johnny and his former employer had not parted on good terms and in fact had been ... involved in a bitter civil suit with a non-compete that was about to run out and the former employer was trying to soil Johnny's reputation any way he could. The DA agreed with our analysis and when our evidence was presented to the Grand Jury they returned a "no bill."
OUTCOME: Jury Trial, Acquittal
This was a sexual assault case where the complaining witness was a patient at a pain clinic and the defendant was her pain therapist. Our client denied culpability. We picked our jury on Friday and wer ... e very pleased with the results. On Monday we started testimony which lasted 2.5 hours. John Floyd crossed the states witnesses and absolutely slaughtered them. There was no way the State was going to win this case. At the close of the State's case we moved for a directed verdict in that the state had no evidence that our client was a licensed health care provider as required by their own pleadings. The judge granted our motion and the client walked out a free man.
OUTCOME: No Billed by Grand Jury
Client wrongly accused of Sexual Assault of a Child. After lengthy private investigation, we submitted our report to the DA who was convinced and submitted the report to grand jury, who also believed o ... ur position that the complaining witness was fabricating incident.
OUTCOME: Deferred Adjudication Day of Trial
Client was charged with Triple Homicide; Felony Murder due to the deaths of three children. Client recieved deferred adjudication probation on day of trial. The co-defendant in the case went to trial o ... n first of three indictments and was found guilty. The co-defendant then plead guilty to the other two counts. She received a total of 15 years in prison. We maintained our clients position deserved unusual consideration due to mitigating circumstances and were able to minimize our clients role in the eyes of the prosecution and showed the DA's office that we would try the case if necessary. The DA then recommended deferred probation for our client on day of trial.
OUTCOME: 30 days Bureau of Prisons and 3 years probation
Client was facing 60 counts with some serious time. We were able to quickly negotiate with the prosecutor who agreed to file only one count. When time came for sentencing we were able to put on a prese ... ntation that cast our client in the most favorable light possible and the Federal judge sentenced our client to only 30 days.
OUTCOME: Dismissed Day of Trial
Felony theft over 100,000.00. Case dismissed day of trial.
OUTCOME: Not Guilty after Trial By Jury; Agg Sex Assault
