Caught an unwarranted DWI case. I had just been laid off from my job of 11 years AFTER just purchasing my home, so I really had no means to hire a lawyer at that time. Ms. Donaldson was appointed to be my attorney. She pretty much told me what the run-down was, whether it was a beatable case or not (...it was) and what my other options were. She could have easily just told me to plea to something and get it out of the way (which is what I assumed court-appointed attorneys always did since you're not paying them) but after showing me the arrest video itself, she agreed with me that the case was beatable and proceeded to schedule a trial date. Long story short, the case never made it to trial...about a week before the trial date, Ms. Donaldson informed me that the case was being dismissed. I don't think I smiled that hard in a long time!
