He would have to file a Chapter 13 and give you notice. Then he could pay a percentage on the dollar. Chapter 7 it would be non-dischargable

You can tell them you are going to file, but until you file, they can keep the vehicle. If the vehicle is sold after the 10 day window, it is not...

This is property of the bankruptcy estate. You best hush up. When trustee finds about judgment, they will come to collect.

Divorce decree is not a defense from the original creditor. But you may have a right of indemnification from your ex spouse
