Terry L. Hart

Terry L. Hart is a practical and affordable family law and divorce lawyer with offices in the Galleria area of Houston. He accepts cases in all areas of family law and currently restricts his practice to the area of family law.

Mr. Hart enjoys getting to know his clients and endeavors to provide the highest quality legal services possible. He responds compassionately and humanely to his clients’ circumstances, while at the same time dispassionately considering the most practical and pragmatic options available to his clients. Mr. Hart’s objective always is to obtain the most optimal result possible for his client and his client’s family under the circumstances.

Mr. Hart offers a unique background and diverse set of experiences to his family law clients. Having worked with a large law firm, the United States government, and an international organization, Mr. Hart endeavors to bring the highest level of professionalism to his practice and is dedicated to providing attentive, personalized legal services. Having practiced business and commercial law for many years, he brings a business perspective to the resolution of financial and property issues in a divorce and brings negotiating skills developed over 30 years of practice to the resolution of divorce, child custody, child support, property division, and other family law matters. Having studied law in Europe, as well as in the United States, and having lived outside theUnited Statesfor a number of years, he can provide an international perspective to those clients whose lives or affairs are international and cross-cultural in scope.

As a lawyer who is fluent in Spanish, Mr. Hart offers significant benefits and an important advantage to Spanish-speaking clients.

Mr. Hart is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, the Houston Bar Association, and the Houston Bar Association Family Law Section.  He is a 1982 cum laude graduate of theUniversity ofHouston School Law and has a Master of Laws degree from theUniversity ofLouvain in Belgium. He is happily married to Nadia Laamarti.
