Jermecia Ann Beachem

I’m sharing my experience with Beachem Law Firm because I believe potential clients deserve to know what their initial consultation experience may be like. I contacted Lawyer Jermecia A. Beachem regarding a child support and visitation modification matter. She called me at approximately 4:49 p.m. ...on Wednesday, August 12. While I was attempting to explain my situation and provide the information she needed to understand my case, she interrupted me to answer another call. When she returned, I continued trying to explain my situation, but I felt that I was repeatedly cut off and not given a fair opportunity to speak. What was most concerning to me was the tone of the conversation. At one point, I felt that I was being yelled at and spoken to disrespectfully. I was simply trying to explain my circumstances and understand whether the firm could assist me. During the call, I was given information about the firm's fee and was told that she would need additional information before determining whether she could take my case. I was told that she would contact me later that day or on Thursday. As of today, August 14, I have not received a follow-up call or communication from the law firm. For me, this experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. When someone is seeking legal representation, especially for an important family-law matter, they deserve to feel heard, respected, and taken seriously during the initial consultation. I am also a Black student interested in pursuing a career in law, and I have always been encouraged to learn from professionals in the field and seek out different attorneys along the path I want to pursue. Because of that, I pay close attention to how attorneys communicate with potential clients. Based on my personal experience, this was the second-worst experience I have had while trying to find an attorney. I hope the firm takes this feedback seriously. My review is based solely on my personal experience during the consultation and the lack of follow-up afterward. I would encourage anyone considering this firm to ask questions about communication, availability, and what to expect during the consultation process before moving forward.
