Toni Lynn Thompson Sharretts

Toni was right there when I needed her on my first call. She spent a ton of time with me over a period of weeks, both on the phone and via emails. I had property to sell in Cleveland, Texas but I live on the other side of the USA, and my partner had died. I had to clear the title, and it was a me...ss as there was no probated will. She taught me all about the laws and really got me through the mess I was in. She kept me sane when I thought I'd go nuts. I had the privilege to obtain Toni as my lawyer because of a felony possession charge I picked up while changing planes at Bush international airport. The charge and potential punishment for which is quite Sevier in such a case. I have had a history of back pain and back pain management with the use... of prescription pain killers. While I was visiting family in Colombia, I bought over the counter pain medication which would require a prescription here in the States at a great discount. The problem with this is that by doing so and then flying back home I got myself in a bit of a jam. Toni went above and beyond in explaining my case and in assisting me while I was in Houston far from my home in Oregon. I am currently on differed judication and currently on track for early release from my probation after which my conviction will be removed and I can go back to being a first class citizen again. Toni took my case after 3 other previous attorneys messed it up and charged me a fortune. She explained the law and how it applied to my case. None of my other expensive attorneys even cared about me or my case, they just wanted my money and to settle at mediation (telling me that was best when I kne...w it was not best to let a horrible man get away with the things he had done). Toni told me we MUST go to trial so my estranged husband would not get away with assaulting me, abandoning me, not working a day and then taking 1/2 my property and almost all of my income. Toni explained how trial worked, talked to me as well as my witnesses. She even made sure I had interpreters for some of my witnesses so they would be more comfortable testifying in their first language. She was understanding when I did not always get the right things to her at first as quickly as she needed them. She said the only way to get satisfaction when the other side is bullying you and you need justice is to go to trial. She is very, very good in trial and makes the other attorneys angry because she shows them up and the Judge ruled in our favor. She also was aware of my financial constraints during the divorce and worked with me on payment. Finally I have someone who helped me.

Ms. Sharretts handled my case in a very professional and prompt manner. She was very knowledgeable, and showed that she cared about taking care of the issue at hand as quickly as possible.
