Heather Martin Hughes

Heather Hughes worked as an amicus in our child custody case. She failed to look into multiple facts that were brought to her attention and very relevant to the case. She never even interviewed one of the parents of the child and did not interview the other parent until almost the very end of the inv...estigation. She listened to one side of the story with out ever even looking into the the claims to see if they were factual evidence or not. There was also another person who she was informed was living with the child and around the child who could potentially pose a threat, and she never interviewed that person either. There were multiple times evidence was available to her that she could have verified what she was being told was a lie, but she did not take the time to look into it. The law is suppose to be blind and weighed simply on the facts. I feel the child she represented in this case was done no justice. These are people's lives and should be treated accordingly. I would not recommend her as an attorney or amicus.
