Great Attorney

We hired Mr. Rodriguez for a family member who was facing a very serious Felony charge, Mr. Rodriguez handled the case and was able to get the charges dismissed. He kept the family updated and talked with me the entire time. He is reasonable and fair and will do all he can to help you and your fami...ly in the time of need. I recommend his services to everyone.

Rigoberto Rodriguez is an incompetent attorney he lacks in all Areas of Practice!

Rigoberto represented my family member for a 1yr ½. We had to seek for a new attorney after seeing that his intentions weren’t to help. He lacks in all Areas of Practice! He showed no interest toward the case nor did he ever approach the DA to negotiate an outcome for our relative. The DA instead cal...led him out on his mistakes in front of us. He is incompetent to handle a criminal case. We knew that we had to find a new attorney. Because, leaving our family members life in his hands would have been the biggest mistake. He took the easy way out. He was unprofessional, rude and started ignoring our calls, because he knew that he had most of the retainer. We wanted our money back and tried to give him a chance to explain what direction he was taking in the case. HE did not care nor did he want to speak to us. He is taking on cases that he is not prepared to handle in court. He tells his clients to take the blame and settle just to close his case. That is how he makes his money. Before you hire an attorney, please look for reviews, it will save you a lot of frustration and tears, money. I do not recommend for anyone to hire Rigoberto Rodriguez! We want to alert everyone about this lawyer.

Dear Anonymous, you are not. Your statement that I am incompetent to handle a criminal case is based on the following: Your family hired me to represent your relative in a murder charge. Your family member was arrested for murder. I explained the case to you, your family members and the defendant different times. His case dealt with the previous application of the "Aguilar-Spinelli" law which much favored him at the time that he was previously interviewed for the same murder investigation, charges were not filed at that time. Subsequent to the change of law and the new application of Illinois vs Gates, overruling Aguilar-Spinelli; the Supreme Court established the "Total Circumstances Test" as the new application of Probable Cause Standard. Law enforcement re-interviewed your family member and he confessed to the murder. I defended your family member very diligently to secure a dismissal of his murder case. He benefited from the application of the previous Aguilar-Spinelli initial police investigation as well as some of the new existing Law. Furthermore, to challenge the legality of his confession for murder and work towards a dismissal. Halfway into my efforts to obtain a dismissal for your family member; you all decided to go and hire a less experienced attorney that resulted in your family member pleading guilty to murder and accepted the offer that I informed the new lawyer that he could get of 15 years. I am sure you don't know, but that lawyer called me to discuss the case with me and I informed him that he could get your family member 15 years. You state in your review that the ADA kept telling me that I was making mistakes. Your reference relates to an event when all the files were stacked in the same area and I accidentally grabbed a different file that on top of your relative's file and handed it over to the ADA. I later explained that to you, specifically and your response was clear: "Yes, that can happen to anybody", indicating that it was an honest mistake relating to grabbing the different file. This action had no relevance with the quality of the extensive legal strategical and experienced legal representation that I was providing to your family member. I am convinced that given the opportunity to have concluded my legal representation of your family member, I would have been successful in securing the dismissal of the murder charges against your family member. Nevertheless, part of your review deals with a call that I received from your family asking for money back, to which I asked how much. The brief conversation concluded with no specific amount. After this conversation, you all decided to file a meritless complaint with the State Bar of Texas. Such meritless complaint promptly ended in a dismissal with no participation on my part; only a notification from the State Bar of the dismissal. In conclusion, you all sought my legal representation on a murder case that your relative confessed to. I made every aggressive and diligent experienced strategic effort to secure a dismissal for your now convicted relative. You all decided to hire a new less experienced lawyer that made it impracticable to conclude my efforts to secure the dismissal for your relative of the murder charge. You asked for money back, filed a meritless complaint with the State Bar of Texas that resulted in a prompt dismissal, ultimately you all decided to write a negative review as your choice. I promptly returned all calls, even if calls are made to my cell when I am at court. I was very specific on which direction I was taking the defense, in this case, a dismissal, and you all did not want to wait. I insisted on trying this case to trial and you and your relative did not want that. I try cases and I would have tried this one if the client desired so as he did not. This one negative review is part of all minimally 6 different posted reviews on different websites (Yelp, Avvo, Google) that relate to the same one murder case.

He is very Rude . We had to hire another Attorne...y, to fight for our love one. He walked away with thousands of dollars .

Anonymous, our response to your statements is as follows. Your comments on this review are contrary to the evidence that can be provided from previous hundreds of satisfied clientele of numerous dismissals in state and federal cases, motions to suppress granted, Writs granted, directed verdicts granted as well as and not limited to not guilty verdicts and other. Your family came to my office to secure the representation of your family member to defend him of a murder charge. Your relative was arrested for murdering a man. I explained the case to you and your family members on numerous different occasions, and on one occasion while at the Court House one of you that had not even paid my fee decided to start disrespecting me and insulting the quality of my legal representation. I informed you that I was not going to tolerate that unacceptable behavior. Furthermore, that if you persisted in your unacceptable behavior that I was going to notify the bailiff and have him address such unacceptable behavior. You are writing this review and stating that I was rude because I chose to inform you that your unacceptable behavior. Your relative's case dealt with the previous application of the "Aguilar–Spinelli" law much favorable to him at the time; that he was previously interviewed for the same murder investigation before the arrest at that time and charges were not filed after that interview. Subsequent to the change of law and the application of the now existing probable cause standard of Illinois vs Gates which overruled by decision Aguilar–Spinelli; the Supreme Court established the total circumstances test in the application of probable cause. Law enforcement decided to re interview your relative and he confessed to the murder. My aggressive defense was to secure a dismissal; benefiting from the application of the previous Aguilar–Spinelli initial interview as well as the new prevailing Illinois vs Gates current standard. Additionally, strategically challenging the legality of his confession to the murder. Halfway through my defense and my strategical efforts to obtain a dismissal for your relative; you all decided to go hire a less experienced lawyer. Your new lawyer advised the defendant to plead guilty to the murder. Furthermore, your relative with your new lawyer accepted the offer that I had informed your new lawyer that he could get for your relative of 15 years. I am sure you don't know, but the new lawyer called me to discuss the case with me. Had I been given the opportunity to have concluded my legal representation of your relative; I am convinced that based on my extensive legal experience and knowledge of the law it would have resulted in a dismissal of the murder charge. Nevertheless, part of your review deals with a call that I received from your family asking for money back, to my response of how much. You all decided to hire a new less experienced lawyer that made impracticable my conclusion in my efforts to secure the dismissal for your relative of the murder charge. You asked for money back, filed a meritless complaint with the State Bar of Texas that resulted in a prompt dismissal, ultimately you all decided to write a negative review as your choice. Therefore, my hundreds of previous clients if contacted will confirm that I am very trustworthy, responsive, knowledgeable on the law, and kept them as I did you all informed.

DEFENDANT

I HAVE READ ALL OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND SUCH IS NOT APPLICABLE TO ME. Maybe some of you "folks" had a "record" to beginning with and the DA was NOT in "plea" mood. Rigo and his secrestary ALWAYS take my calls and have been UP FRONT from the GET GO ON THE PROBABILITY of my success. If you"re GU...ILTY you are gulity and all an attorney can do is GET you LESS time.
