Elijah Gooden III

It was all about the money when it came to our case. My husband's bond was set at $200,000 and we had to get $2,000 to bond him out. Gooden wanted his fee upfront within a 5 day period which was an additional $7,000 to retain him as our attorney. Since my husband was the sole provider of the house...hold and I was not a joint signer on his banking accounts, I had no access to his funds which left me trying to raise his bond money and the monies requested by Gooden. Gooden got $2,000 of the funds upfront and still did not represent the case. He was still pressing us for the additional $5,000 and wanted it before the formal hearing. A local TV station aired our story and got the District Attorney to review our case a day before the official hearing and the case was "No Billed" by the State. Gooden kept the $2,000 and we received no restitution from this case.
