This is the type of client who always EXPECTS people to work for him and get amazing results but never tries to pay. I never threatened to beat up a client in my life, but I absolutely ask anyone how they expect me to work for them if they do not or will not pay. That goes for anyone in any profession. I tell my clients this who do not pay. If they went to work and the boss kept giving excuses and did not pay them, would they keep showing up to work. Changes are this person did not pay or would not. So, I stopped working and withdrew from the case. And yes, I had an assistant that working with me at a point in time. Unfortunately, I found out he had a drinking problem, and it was affecting his work and personal life. I let him go and wished him the best when he went to rehab. I never wish to screw anyone over, but I also stand up for myself and do not let people take advantage of me. Some people have issue with others they cannot manipulate or do not believe their lies.

Worst experience ever

I hired him because I really needed a lawyer. The first court date he was 4 hours late I should have known then to fire him. 2nd court date was postponed due to COVID. Showed up to court For my final he never showed up after I was calling him over and over again for 3days straight. I was waiting in c...ourt for 3 hours for him. I finally took things into my own hands and fired him and spoke to the DA and got my own case dismissed. Don’t hire this guy. He took my money and just rest my court dates to drag it out. I could say so much more but not worth it at this point this should be enough for you all to make a decision.

The so called anonymous person is Sean Pina, DOB 11/5/87. He was charged with assault of a family member in Galveston County on 1/14/2019 because of a fight with his domestic partner. I made an initial appearance for Mr. Pina in Galveston county on 2/5/2020. I told him that day I would be arriving late because of my already scheduled appearance in Harris county. Mr. Pina was told of this ahead of time to be made aware. I did not appear 4 hours late. Court there starts at 8:30. If I had arrived it would had ben 12:30 and they shut down docket by 11:30. I arrived around 10:00. Since the initial appearance Mr. Pina demanded the case dismissed and said he could not afford to miss work. I explained to Mr. Pina the process that the state needed to do a RIP call and speak with the complaining witness before they do anything on his case. I told Mr. Pina cases do take time. The case was initially reset to 3/30/2020 and because of Covid court closures the court reset the case twice times. Once to 6/4/2020 and the other to 8/27/2020. The case was finally set to 11/20/2020 as a day of appearance. I was prepared to appear on that day. It was the only case I had scheduled for the day. The case fell on a Friday. Unfortunately the night before my daughter began to show multiple symptoms related to Covid. So early the morning of 11/20/2020 I took my daughter to an emergency clinic to get tested for Covid. Thank the lord my daughter tested negative. I did notify the court and Mr. Pina of the circumstances. I left messages with the court of where I was and why. Mr. Pina did not care and said he was upset because he missed work for nothing. I apologized and explained to him I had no other option. Considering my daughter may had been sick with Covid and I was possibly exposed I did not go to court until I had my daughter tested. Mr. Pina did not care. He just sent me a text saying he no longer wanted my services. I would further like to add that Mr. Pina was not truthful in his complaint with me to AVO. Mr. Pina did not speak to the DA and he did not get his case dismissed. He merely signed an order waiving his right to counsel and waived his right to a court appointed counsel. This is the second time he has done this. He signed the same order on 12/18/2019 before hiring me to represent him. Mr. Pina's case was not dismissed it was reset to 1/27/2021. If need be I can obtain records for all this to back up my story. The filings are all public records on the Galveston County District clerks case search page. If need be I can also provide a copy of my daughters Covid test for the morning of 11/20/2020. Thank you for your time.

Was going through hell

By the grace of God, a friend of mines referred us to Mr. Valles and we couldn't be more thankful. Mr.Valles was all ears, very understanding, straight forward and though it took time going through the court process, the case was dismissed. He listened to every detail and attended anything that was r...equested to help and made it as comfortable and felt protected by the law through his expertise. Thank you!
