Chapter 13

I made a consultation with Vicky to figure out which path was best for me and my financial circumstances. During my consult, I decided to hire Vicky. Her advice and experience helped ease my fear about what the future held. During my 5 year Chapter 13 bankruptcy, anytime I had a question, I would eit...her call or send an e-mail and it was answered promptly and courteously. I highly recommend Vicky and her staff for their compassion, knowledge and expertise.

Excellence of Fealy Legal Services

My wife and I are clients of the Fealy law firm. Vicki Fealy and her staff are superb - they asked insightful questions in the initial consultation and have always keep us informed of the overall process and numerous obligations required to successfully navigate through a Chapter 13 proceeding. Moreo...ver, Ms. Fealy is an unusual combination of a deeply knowledgeable professional and an open, engaging personality sensitive to a client's unique circumstances. Given that she is a board-certified attorney in this particular field of legal expertise, we are confident Ms. Fealy will always stand ably on our behalf so we can attain a successful conclusion to our Chapter 13.

Always there for us!

My husband and I just completed a 5 year Chapter 13. We chose Ms. Fealy as our bankruptcy lawyer and so happy that we did. Ms. Fealy and her staff has been a delight to work with. Her knowledge, experience and compassion for our situation has always been outstanding. She explained each step we woul...d go through which relieved a lot of stress we were having and helped us to see there was a light at the end of the dark tunnel we were in. Her & her staff returned every phone call & email within 24 hours. The service we received from Ms. Fealy was superior. She was always available for us the whole 5 years. We would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a bankruptcy lawyer. We are so happy we chose Ms. Fealy as our lawyer.

Be Careful!

Filed a ch 13 and things were going well. Husband then lost job and payments were unable to be kept up. We were told to try and make payments. No modification or revision was offered even though I kept calling and asking what we can do. 6 months later we were told to be in court to have case dism...issed for non-payment. Lost tons of money in this process and a car. House is almost in foreclosure now as well. Stay on the representatives at this law firm. Returning calls is not something that happens often.

I and my law firm do everything possible to help clients through the difficult times that occur within the life of a Chapter 13. This includes maintaining open lines of communication with the client at all times. If a debtor falls more than two monthly payments behind, the Chapter 13 Trustee may file a Motion to Dismiss for failure to maintain payments. If a dismissal is filed, The Fealy Law Firm, P.C. sends a letter to the client which is followed up by an email and a phone call to discuss options and make sure the client is aware of the dismissal hearing. If there is a change in circumstances during a Chapter 13 plan, a modification may be filed to catch up on delinquent payments in certain situations. Unfortunately, a plan can only be modified if there is sufficient income to fund the modified plan. This is something I discuss with each client in their initial consultation as well as anytime the problem arises during a Chapter 13 plan. Clients are always welcome to schedule an appointment with me if they have any questions regarding their case. I pride myself on accessibility to clients. Every client phone call is taken or returned. The Fealy Law Firm, P.C. has a 24 hour policy on returning phone calls. All phone calls must be returned within 24 hours unless it is a week-end call, then the call is returned first thing Monday morning. In most instances, phone calls are taken immediately as the office is fully staffed between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
