What are the laws in Texas about having security cameras at your house (in residential area, older neighborhood, no HOA).

Your lease agreement with your landlord controls what he will allow. Other than that, I can think of no restrictions on installing security...

Make a claim on your insurance and let your co. sort it out. They will subrogate the claim and try to recover your deductible.

Part of the risk you took when loaning the bike... The insurance company would not pay if they did not see liability.
