Cindy is an honest and caring lawyer to work with. Family law is tough for everyone involved. It is the greyest area of the law(in Leyman's opinion), and experience counts here. I spent the time with her to sort through issues, evidence and case law. She is an expert in her field(Family Law). Sce...narios, planning, practice, she does it all. We are all greenhorns going into these things and she makes sure we are prepared. She knows the judges and most of the other lawyers well, which helps set expectations of the outcome. Cindy's support staff is attentive and nice to work with. Her billings were honest and clear to understand. When you get into a family matter, there are a great deal of obstacles and challenges. Cindy knows how to navigate them. There are typically no winners in family court, but having Cindy represent me definitely made a big difference in the outcome. Cindy may make it look easy, but she's always thinking on her feet which is a needed trait in navigating family law.

Cynthia is straight forward and provided valuable advice. She knows her stuff and encouraged me to fight for things that at the time I didn't even want to think about, but I am glad that she did. She provided the knowledge and guidance I needed to get the best resolution possible each time I've used ...her.

Do yourself a big favor and do NOT hire this lawyer. Keep looking! I spent everything I had to try and get custody back from my drug-using ex (failed 3 tests in 6 months) and lost. When legal issues came up that she said she knew nothing about, she would recommend hiring other attorneys to handle th...at particular part of the case. She never gave straight answers about what to expect in costs or how long the case would take. I had to inform her about hair follicle drug testing which (unlike urinalysis) cannot be altered with a detox kit. By the way, the Ex passed the urinalysis tests but failed the hair follicle tests that I had to push to have done. She was only ready to make the next legal move around the time the next monthly bill was due. The ex and opposing counsel stalled and walked all over her, yet during this heart-wrenching time, she insisted that I be cordial when I referred to the other attorney. She was much more interested in keeping up her professional connections than putting me and my child’s best interests first. After about a year, plus thousands and thousands of dollars later, I terminated my relationship with her and hired another attorney who was extremely competent and willing to undo at least some of the damage done by her incompetence. Within 3 months he brought this case and its terrible experience to an end at a minimal cost.

After paying $100,00.00 for her fee's, $55,000.00 in fee's for a financial advisor and $10,000.00 for a arbitrator. The arbitrator took 6 months to give us a verdict and it was he said she said and I lost everything. My ex even admitted to insurance fraud tax fraud and had forged documents. He was... held in contempt of court and had to pay a $10,000.00 fine. She called no witnesses that could have proven what I said was true. Before the Arbitration she had me hire a friend of hers that she said would be able to prove the business fraud part of the case. So with her and her expert friend I still lost it all.
