Lack of Professional Courtesy/Communication

Mr. Saffary gives attorneys a bad name. From the moment I stepped into his office I was wary, due to the clutter and his absence (an unqualified "secretary" was offering legal advice to clients) but due to my desperation and urgency of situation I continued and hired him to handle my divorce filing. ...I only interacted face to face with him once; within 30 minutes he was telling me, "I can't deal with you...you're getting on my nerves," and passing me off to his assistant to answer simple questions I was asking. Following that unsuccessful meeting I emailed him 3 times within a week to no response; when I attempted to phone him his voicemail box was full so I couldn't leave messages. It all came to a head when I asked for a refund so that I could take my business elsewhere. We agreed to meet- so that he could give me "proof" that he had filed my divorce petition (which the Harris County clerk informed me was not true) and we could discuss the terms of getting a refund. After 3 days of being a no-show at the office, he threatened to press charges against ME for "harassing" his associate and dissuading potential clients from patronizing his firm. He was yet, again, a no-show and refused to come into the office with the documents, which he had offered to do in the first place! His associate (and I) called the police and he attempted to have me arrested, though it was baseless. As an attorney, Mr. Saffary is neither competent, responsible, accessible, or supportive of his clients- his attitude speaks volumes about the content of his character. If you enter into a contract with him, make sure not to pay a red cent until ALL the details of the agreement are determined. He'll take your money, wait a month, and STILL not have your documents filed as requested. You might as well do all the work yourself.
