Terry McGovern

Terry McGovern is the founding Partner at McGovern Law Firm. He is deeply passionate about fighting for his clients and securing the justice and financial compensation they rightfully deserve after suffering from serious injuries. Throughout his career, Mr. McGovern has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts, earning a national reputation as a steadfast rising star by the Texas Super Lawyers.

His diverse litigation experience encompasses all types of cases, including those involving motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, and wrongful death. Mr. McGovern is committed to ensuring that every client receives exceptional representation and achieves the best possible outcome.

Mr. McGovern attended South Texas College of Law Houston, where he graduated in the top third of his class, became a varsity advocate, a member of the law review, and an officer for the Board of Advocates. During this time, he also honed his lawyering skills and interned at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the First Court of Appeals of Texas, and several litigation firms.

Mr. McGovern is uniquely qualified to provide bilingual services. Mr. McGovern was raised bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, offering full service in both languages. He not only understands the English and Spanish languages, but both cultures as well. Mr. McGovern’s diverse cultural background has helped him over the years guide many Hispanic clients across the state.
