If the money was obtained after death from rent then yes you have to share it. it does not matter where you are putting the money as to what type...
My mother gave me a handwritten will giving me power of attorney, both medical and financial. She also gave me her house.

Yes it can be a valid Will. It does not matter if it was notarized. You would need to have an attorney look at the Will. the POA after she was...

If there is no Will, you can use affidavit of heirhsips regarding your parents and deeds from your brothers. (not quit claim deeds).
