Scott Kerr Vastine

I’m Scott K. Vastine, and I’m here to provide you with legal counsel rooted in years of extensive experience. My journey in the legal field has been marked by a passion for helping businesses navigate their legal challenges and achieve success.

I earned my Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, where I developed a strong foundation in legal principles and practices. Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, earning a B.A. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Political Communications and minors in History and Political Science.

I spent 15 years at The Jackson Law Firm, a boutique commercial litigation firm in Houston, Texas. As an attorney and shareholder, I managed a diverse litigation docket, handling every stage of the business dispute life cycle, from pre-litigation negotiation and litigation avoidance to trial and appeal. My experience includes securing significant legal victories, such as a $2 million jury verdict against Wells Fargo and numerous favorable settlements and judgments.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of representing clients in various high-stakes legal matters. Some highlights include:

• Successfully handled a lawsuit against Wells Fargo, resulting in a $2 million jury verdict.
• Securing the dismissal of all claims in a breach of contract and fraud case for a German company.
• Representing a property manager and obtaining a court dismissal of all claims in a trade secrets and non-compete dispute.
• Negotiating and settling over $1 million in liens for a hotel owner in a contractor dispute.
• Serving as outside general counsel for various clients, including an international oilfield equipment manufacturer and a diverse business portfolio owner.
