I bring the experience of  40-plus years of  practice, most of which has been federak tax.  In the past ten years my practice has been primarily tax controversies and bringing in taxpayers (business and people ) "in from the cold."  That means helping people who have failed to file or who have not filed completely get into compliance (including numerous OVDI issues).  My most successful representations have been the ones that do not make the newspapers or end up in court.  However, I do have extensive experience trying cases, having at least one published decision in every decade from the sixties through the '10s (except for the '70s).

A current way of describing what I do is "Tax Controversy Risk Management."

I like to help people and i like to think I have made a positive difference for my clients.

My broad range of acquaintances and experience make it possible for me to achieve better results than others might be able to achieve.

Communal, non-proft organiizations and political activities have expanded my horizons and ability to call upon people who might make a difference.

My activity in speaking and participating in professional activities allows me to expand my knowledge and skills continually.  Even though I have been practicing for 40+ years, there is more to learn every day.
