Kyra Chanele Coffey

Kyra Coffey is a Texas licensed attorney, who strives to assist clients to build wealth and protect their assets. Originally from Chicago, Illinois,  and a graduate of DePaul University, where Kyra was a Division-I track star, she learned the importance of strategic planning, hard work, and overcoming adversity. Kyra took these life lessons and went on to law school in Houston, Texas at South Texas College of Law. Upon graduating, Kyra has had a unique professional experience where she has served clients as both in house counsel and outside counsel. She specializes in various practice areas of corporate law, including intellectual property protection, transactional matters, and regulatory compliance, as well as estate planning.

Kyra  strives to assist companies in various industries, including, but not limited to, health and beauty, manufacturing, technology, construction, medical, retail, entertainment, and CBD. She has worked with business owners at different stages, inclusive of those in the start-up phase, those who are well established, and those positioning themselves for succession planning. Kyra offers personalized, in-depth, and creative advice to best position her clients considering their goals, industry trends, and business capabilities.   She has been hired by her clients to act as counsel, handling any needs that may arise from day to day responsibilities of running a business, including HR/labor concerns, compliance, contract management, and policy development, and business development.

Kyra’s commitment to building wealth and protecting assets extends beyond her business clients, as she is equally committed to assisting others to safeguard and best position their estate and personal affairs. She works to ensure that her clients have an up to date and thorough estate plan, which includes their last will and testament, living will, statutory durable power of attorney, medical power of attorney, HIPPA authorization, and declaration of guardian, as well as the applicable documents for children when appropriate.  Furthermore, Attorney Coffey assists families to probate their loved ones’ estate and ensures that the assets are properly distributed according to an existing will or the laws of intestacy.

As  Kyra  serves her clients, she finds it just as important to serve her community, with a particular focus on youth and women in business. Blessed to bless others, Kyra engages in community service initiatives with various associations where she is a member, such as with the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association, Houston Urban League, and the Association of Corporate Counsel. She  is the founder of the community  outreach program titled,  S.E.L.F: Savvy Entrepreneur Leaders of the Future, which provides high school students with an  eight-week  program where they turn ideas into comprehensive business plans.  Kyra was also crowned with the national title Ms. Corporate America 2016. During her reign, she focused on professional women leaders who were innovators and influencers in their respective fields of business.
