Keisha L. Smith

Keisha Smith-Anderson is known for her undeterred focus and deep understanding of the law. You would never guess by her empathetic nature that she is a bulldog in the courtroom. A graduate of Baylor Law School, Keisha earned the respect of the Texas legal community as a determined Chief and Appellate Prosecutor at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Keisha brings passion and vigor to every case she handles. She has successfully tried countless misdemeanor and felony cases, and has written more than 100 appellate briefs on issues ranging from theft to capital murder. She has represented high profile clients at the trial and appellate level. Her extensive appellate and trial experience makes her a force to be reckoned with inside and outside of the courtroom.

Keisha lives in Houston and is married to attorney Rick Anderson. She serves as an Adjunct Professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. She is an active member of the Junior League of Houston and is a graduate of Leadership Houston XXIX. When she is not working, Keisha enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and taking her dog Sugar to the dog park.
