Fighting for Our Clients Is What We Do!
Jill Yaziji is a Houston trial lawyer with more than 25 years of litigation experience in business disputes and personal injury cases. As founder of Yaziji Law Firm PLLC, she handles every matter personally and prepares each case for trial if the client’s best interests require it.
Jill represents companies, business owners, and individuals in breach of contract claims, commercial and partnership disputes, construction defect claims, and other business litigation in state and federal court and in arbitration. She knows that a business dispute affects the operations, cash flow, and relationships. That is why she builds a strategy around the client’s business goals: pursuing an efficient resolution where possible, and preparing the case for trial where necessary.
Jill began her legal career as a personal injury lawyer, representing dozens of clients in product liability cases involving asbestos exposure and mesothelioma/silica exposure and silicosis. She fights to hold accountable the negligent parties and to recover the damages that her clients suffered, including medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and disfigurement. Personal injury cases are handled on a contingency basis, and there is no fee to the attorney unless the client recovers.
Jill holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer rating for legal ability and ethical standards. She was named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 in 2018 and 2019 and was ranked among Houston’s top attorneys by Houstonia magazine in 2013, 2014, and 2015. In 2017, she was elected a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor limited to one-third of one percent of Texas lawyers, and in the same year, she received the Houston Bar Association’s Outstanding Service Award. She served as Editor-in-Chief of The Houston Lawyer in 2016–2017 and served on its board from 2009 to 2017.
Jill is licensed in all Texas state courts and admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas. She is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Litigation Achievement Award and served on the Editorial Board of The Review of Litigation. She also holds a Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from UT-Austin. She speaks Arabic and French.
