Jeremy Alistair Mouton

Jeremy Mouton is a partner in the energy section of Porter Hedges. His practice focuses on advising oil and gas companies on a variety of corporate, transactional and commercial matters, with an emphasis on upstream and midstream oil and gas transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.

Mr. Mouton has advised clients on some of the oil and gas industry’s largest conventional and unconventional oil and gas acquisition and divestiture transactions in recent years, including recent upstream domestic deals with a combined value of more than $35 billion, including, among others, in the Bakken, Barnett, Eagle Ford, Fayetteville, Haynesville, Marcellus, Miss Lime, Niobrara, Permian, SCOOP, STACK and Utica plays.

Mr. Mouton’s oil and gas experience includes negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, stock/membership interest purchase agreements, swap agreements, development agreements, exploration agreements, participation agreements, farmin/farmout agreements, joint operating agreements, limited liability company agreements, transition services agreements, seismic licenses, mineral leases, royalty agreements, net profit interest agreements, marketing agreements, and other agreements and instruments customary in connection with oil & gas acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mouton was an attorney at the Commercial Law Group in Oklahoma City. Prior to that, he was Associate General Counsel for Anheuser-Busch InBev in St. Louis, and an associate attorney with Bracewell & Giuliani in Houston.
