Do not hire!

I am VERY dissatisfied with the representation I received from Mrs. Miller. At our first meeting, she seemed very nice, professional and helpful. Once she was hired, however, all contact was pretty much with legal assistant. The two obviously did not talk much because one would say one thing and the ...other something else, and the legal assistant gave me a lot of misinformation. At a meeting, at my expense, and at the request of Mrs. Miller, I was pushed out of the office when she received a phone call even though our meeting was not over. At the first hearing, she seemed more interested in working with my (ex) husband than with me. The big issue I had was getting my name off the Deed of Trust and I was led to believe that could be done. That was the main issue I brought up in all the meetings, correspondence, etc. I was told it could be addressed at the final hearing. Then when the final hearing came around, nothing was done and I was told the option I took would not solve that issue (I was never told about another option specifically.) So now, I am a single mother of 4, with no job, in debt because I had to borrow for attorney fees, stuck w/ a car I didn't want and cannot afford (but Mrs. Miller encouraged me to take it) and possibly looking at having a house foreclosure on my record! The ONE thing I hired her for, she failed to act on. I could have done EVERYTHING she did on my own without hiring an attorney. Oh and she got child support based on what the ex said his income was w/out even looking at his tax return when I told her he made more than he was acknowledging. She is only interested in taking your money and getting the divorce finalized quickly.

No

Terrible, Lied to me until I finished paying, then refused to go to court, stating I would not win, after she was saying I would. Lost lots in mediation. Was better off before I hired her.
