Great results by a great lawyer!

I hired Ms. Kelly to help me in a very contentious divorce. I and my soon-to-be-ex were represented by attorneys known in Waco as among the best family lawyers. Susan came in. She cut to the chase. She was efficient, sensitive, practical and effective. She is a great trial lawyer and put her ski...lls to magnificant use. She was a great advocate and got me very favorable results. I am told my outcome is quite rare in family law cases, both with respect to visitation and the very favorable property division, I am forever grateful.

Wonderful lawyer who really bailed me out of a jam

The day before my wife and I were scheduled to leave on vacation, I was called by a detective and told I'd been charged with leaving the scene of an accident without supplying identification. In Texas this is a class B misdemeanor. It was tied to a silly incident that involved no injuries and real d...amage to either car. The tire on my car touched the fender on another car in a near miss incident and left a black mark. I stopped and spoke to the other driver. At the time, I thought the other driver and I were agreed that there was no real damage and we didn't need to get insurance involved. Apparently she changed her mind almost immediately, followed me, wrote down my license plate and then for some reason waited a month to file criminal charges against me. I was completely stunned. I don't have an attorney. I've never been in legal trouble in my life and haven't even had a traffic ticket in over 30 years. I scrambled to find an attorney over the internet and found a listing for Susan. She was very highly rated and had over 30 years of experience as a criminal attorney. I called and spoke with her assistant, who was a friendly, empathetic young lady and left all my details, as Susan was in court that day. My wife and I were actually leaving for Florida and couldn't wait to set up an actual physical appointment. Susan called me later while we on the road. We discussed all of the above and she agreed to immediately begin acting as my attorney, even though I wasn't in a position to make payment immediately as I was in a car driving through Lousiana at the time. It wasn't until I spoke with her that I realized just how serious this could become. If a warrant was put into the system for my arrest, a simple traffic stop could result in me being taken into custody and extradited back to Texas. Susan assured me that I didn't need to turn around and head back to Texas. She could and would take actions to head off anything like this. She knew the chief of police personally in the town of which I was being charged and would contact him as well as the detective in charge. I immediately felt better just knowing that she had a personal connection to some of the people involved. Often times in life who you know is as important as what you know. In a "small" town like Waco, a local attorney is important. Susan told me to leave it to her and do the best I could to enjoy my vacation while she dealt with it. A few tense days later she called me with the great news. The charges had been dropped, the case completely closed and I was in the clear. What a wonderful Christmas present. What an incredible relief. If you're in trouble I would highly recommend you call Susan Kelly. She did wonders for me.

Outstanding Attorney

When I had an incident with law enforcement, I consulted with many personal friends and attorneys statewide while seeking legal counsel in the county of my alleged offense -- and across the board one name came up repeatedly: Susan N. Kelly. I turned to Ms. Kelly and her staff to help me understand th...e facts of my and found both her and her legal assistant, Ivori Murray, incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and accommodating. They were the calm that helped me weather the storm and with Susan's impressive resume and experience as both former prosecutor and current criminal defense attorney -- she really understands every facet of criminal cases and can get phenomenal results before a case even goes to trial just like she did me. Had my case gone to trial, I have no doubt in my hear that I would have received powerful, fair, and compassionate representation by this attorney. Furthermore, Susan N. Kelley commitment to educating the next generation of attorneys through her guest lectures at Baylor School of Law and her illustrious reputation among esteemed colleagues for being an advocate on behalf of her clients are not just words from a biography -- these describe the true character of a woman who I cannot recommend to you enough as your counsel if you or a loved one ever find themselves accused of a crime.
